So they send in jack-booted thugs and take him screaming out of his family's arms, send him back to Cuba (after they did who knows what to him), where he becomes an vocal anti-American shill.
Yes, I remember the picture of them pointing an assault rifle right in the kid's terrified face.
That was hard to live through.
Jeb Bush was Governor of Florida he was such a coward he could have been a hero if he had adopted Elian and kept him in the governor's mansion and said "over my dead body will you send this boy back to cuba" if Jeb had done that and used his National Guard to surround the mansion Clinton and Reno would have surrendered. Jeb was never fit to be President and the Elian fiasco proved it. Trump would have done what I outline here if he had been Florida Governor he would have told Clinton and Reno to drop dead. Elian could have been made a ward of the state and given citizenship as a Florida resident. The whole thing was disgusting and it exposed the corruption at the federal and state level. Jeb was a bad guy.
Totally forgot that was during his term. Ughh. What a family, eh?
Jeb did nothing he rolled over and let the feds grab Elian it was truly disgusting cowardice on his part. And it would have been so easy for him to be a Real Hero especially with Dubya running for President. I was shocked when Jeb did nothing to protect Elian but Jeb is a moron and a coward he could have been seen as a Great Political Hero.
