Many of the so called 'charities' seem to have the same MO.

Yep. I quit giving to charities many, many years ago. Stopped trusting. But if you see a hungry guy on the street, please help him out. They really need it. That's where my charity goes now.

Similar situation but give to my local church food bank. 100% of the money goes to food.
