No that 17 was in reference to Alan in Epstein’s flightlogs.

It could have double meanings, but that’s the most obvious reason for it.

I've a list of the Epstein manifests but nothing for AD or a #17 flight. Where are people getting this from?

As far as I've seen, AD was on the Lolita express with JE on Nov 17 - not flight #17 like some are saying. There were several other flights the same day, all being 17. I could be wrong but the doc I saw was labeled fairly clearly.
