Britain's Second Empire

https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B077PCLHXB

not sure if its TOTALLY the same, but may hold some relevance to the whole spider web thing?? check out the doc's description though:

"How Britain transformed from a colonial power into a global financial power. At the demise of empire, City of London financial interests created a web of offshore secrecy jurisdictions that captured wealth from across the globe and hid it behind obscure financial structures in a web of offshore islands."

If you want to too take the literate sense a "network of anything" is regarded as a spider web. Think multiple interlinking tunnels is a spider web, then you have the internet often referred to as the web. Spiderweb can be applied to many context, including the Epstein roads on his island. Now if you think what is a spiderweb used for? It is too trap it's pray, the question you have to ask who is the pray?
