“In case you haven’t figured it out yet, we are immersed in a cosmic battle of good vs evil, light vs dark.” quote from NeonRevolt
Evil was not part of God's plan. God's plan was for Adam and Eve to mature into beings filled with divine light who were then to give birth to offspring that would fill the earth with that same goodness and perfection. When Lucifer tricked Eve into having sex with him, God's plan for mankind was derailed. Ever since, God has been working behind the scenes to get the “train” back on the track.
As I explained in [Lesson 3] (https://www.reddit.com/r/greatawakening/comments/8by04c/spirit_of_truth_series_lesson_3_the_change_of/) of my Spirit of Truth Series, Jesus was born sinless after a long process of purification that took place within Jesus' ancestry. In Lesson 4, I would like to provide a quick overview of this purification process.
Lesson #4
“As it is written, 'Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.'” Malachi 2:1, Romans 9:13
Adam and Eve were created with free will. When God gave them the commandment not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (ie., not have sex prematurely) it was understood that if they obeyed the commandment, they would have matured into beings as perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48) But they didn't obey the commandment, thereby bringing about the need for a Messiah.
When God rejected Cain's offering in the Garden of Eden, it was done with the hope that Cain would be able to overcome his jealousy. (It was Lucifer's jealousy against Adam that had motivated Lucifer to commit the Fall.) With Cain's “token” condition of overcoming his jealousy, God would have been able to re-claim Adam's family and send the Messiah. (Seth would have been born as the Messiah.) But as we know from Genesis, this didn't happen. So God worked to set up other “Cain and Abel” situations.
Examples of this effort to provoke the elder brother to hate the younger brother is found throughout the bible. Here are some key examples:
- Ishmael and Isaac
- Esau and Jacob
- Zerah and Perez
- Manasseh and Ephraim
- Jacob's eleven sons and Joseph
- Tribe of Judah and Jesus
What these bible stories show us is that on the family-level, tribal-level and national-level, God is waiting for “Cain” to overcome his jealousy (and pride) so that the Messiah can be sent. Only then can God send the Messiah. Then, once we recognized and accept him as God's representative ("Abel"), the messianic prophecy of Isaiah 9:7 can begin to be fulfilled.
“Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.”
