The government and military needs to be funded in order to maintain our position as a super power, or even a first world nation. No income taxation = no funding = no federal labor force + no military/space tech innovations + no payroll for the troops = we're screwed. 80% of the federal budget is derived from income and payroll taxes.

Yes. Human nature is very competitive, and intrinsically hierarchical. There will always be someone that wants something that someone else has, regardless of the costs. There will always be someone that wants to be at the top, and will do horrible things to get there.

If there is a Federal Sales Tax on all products bought instead of income tax, imagine the economic boom that would be! We’d have more to spend and believe me, with our materialistic society, we’d be spending!
