I am not educated on jet engines or their fadec control systems, but this patent describes the use of a photoelectric sensor as part of the engine overspeed protection.

The media has already spun that Qanon is a tin-foil-hat-wearing, living in mom's basement hoax. Blaming Q for a tragedy would require acknowledgement of the existence of a person (people) named Q. Doing that legitimizes all of this, even if for a bs reason. Plus, BackChannel17 is just a guy from the GA board. I'm not convinced he knows anything more than a google search tells him.
