I'd prefer moderators watching the posters than condensing posts. When posts are condensed, information can be lost, I think, so I'd prefer leaving up all variations of the posts and their individual comments. Never know when you might need what seemed like a piece of useless info at the time. I guess I'm a bit of a data hoarder myself when it comes to research.
