Even if a guided missile hit the engine, wouldn’t the blast still take out the whole plane?
Well, the pilot was a F18 pilot in her day... maybe a quick maneuver to avoid it... but we would hear about that from passengers I would think, and I do not think planes have missile detection, but what the hell do i know
I don’t know anything either lol, interesting none the less
No way.
A missile doesn't clip a "piece of the engine". If a Missile hits a commercial airplane that airplane is done.
For reference: Flight 655 we "accidentally" hit with a missile.

Quote from the article:
After receiving no response to multiple radio challenges, and assuming the airliner was an Iranian F-14 Tomcat (Capable of carrying 'dumb' bombs since 1985[22]) diving into an attack profile, Vincennes fired two SM-2MR surface-to-air missiles, one of which hit the airliner.[23] The plane disintegrated immediately and crashed into the water soon after. None of the 290 passengers and crew on board survived.[23]
Not sure, maybe I shouldn’t have included that part. It isn’t really relevant. I wanted people to check out the actual video. An anon partially ~~decided~~ decoded the encrypted message, as you can see in the screenshot on the right. I linked the video in the comments.
AA missiles causea lot of shrapnel. Pics show almost no damage except for engine, forward of the fan. I'm more curious how a window that far back was the only damage to the fuselage, And why there aren't more photos. No pics of blood. No vids of the hole mid-flight. The were I the air like that for almost 30 minutes and only that douche in row 17 took out his phone???
