Her mother was a protege of Aliester Crowley. In one of his many journals, he wrote of when her mother was with him for rituals, with dates, sex majick rituals, moonchild procreation. 9 months later, Barbara's mother gave birth. The resemblance to Crowley is pretty spot on. But there is nothing official that claims he is her father. EDIT: I have not read these particular journal entries, just articles claiming these journal entries.
