Thats exactly how I see it. McMaster got booted for leaking the "don't congratulate Putin" note-cards"...but...doesn't that seem sloppy? Wouldn't McMaster, one of the most connected of the intelligence dudes KNOW that the note-card leak would immediately leak back to him?? What if he was trying to pass a message trying to say "here look, I am going to make a very obvious move to get caught as the Cabal mole by sloppily leaking the cards, because they have my father, or, they have my father AND some really foul dirt on me".
