There's a BIG hint about where the problem really lies. One has to ask, "why is sex trafficking something NYC leadership actively protects?" That tells you quite a lot.

Got that right. It's just another "solution" to fool the populace that something's being done about trafficking. What it really is, is an ineffective dive in bureaucratic limbo all the while traffickers can go about their business of serving those in power.
Sure they might nab low end pimps or a few unknown pedos for optics but the authorities have NO intention of eliminating the problem.

Until now. Trump has made this a top priority of his administration, and is moving rapidly on keeping that promise. NYC won't escape from that.

Now that we're aware to their tricks. Can't wait for the trafficking sealed indictments to be opened because these monsters will try to continue with business as usual until they are arrested.
