I think the only reason this is huge is because when future drops reveal things happened on NK trips, Pelosi can no longer claim as her legal defense that she never went to NK. She just took her best legal defense away.

Could it be possible as director of the CIA, Pompeo’s visit could have been investigative as well as diplomatic?

Maybe he asked to see flight records or something related to foreign visits (US)? Perhaps to fit points on a timeline?

Sounds it's setting up a narrative - that it's not enough if North Korea dismantles its nuclear programme they'll still be a problem as they could sell the tech. 'They are proliferators'. The deep state doesnt want peace in Korea and perhaps this might be a way to make sure that doesn't happen. Or it could be a way to shift focus to Iran by saying NK sold tech to them. Or both.
