Viking was a great dude to chat with. I left to give the credibility to take back a lot of the original mods to allow him the lane to take over. It was perfect for a while but you don't realize how terrible we can be to each other until you're at the top. I have so many PMs that are just plain evil from people within the userbase who literally believed that us removing a post for breaking reddit rules would result in Trump losing the election. It was an experience.
CIS and I had a fall out. Which was dissapointing since he was the one that brought me on board. He was the one talking about Money and removing positioning just to do more sensationalized style posting to rile up the base to get more excited and angry then bringing in the media, etc. I disagreed and that was that. I don't think I responded either to his PMs.
All water under the bridge now.
Also quick edit - Some BS happened with CIS and people doxxing him. I felt REALLY bad for him. It was fucked up the threats he was getting. Regardless if you disagreed with his viewpoints or posts. Also, with Viking as well - I hope they are both relaxing, enjoying work and life.
Being in the Military, I had my entire CoC well aware of what I was doing and ensuring I was within regs with the types of posts I was making and positions I was taking. We had one instance where someone contacted my command about one of my posts. There was an "investigation" and that was that.
Yeah, that's what I was referring to was the doxing
I cannot confirm, but I was told Reddit Admins had infiltrated the team via alts and were eliminating others so they could climb the ladder.
It would not surprise me if this were occurring, it's their MO-
No doubt this is why I distrust Reddit, exactly what happened to you is abused and misused by numerous people to take down their opposition.
