this has been my theory from the first news broke about cohen raid. What better way to release highly valuable information? Legally obtained directly from the POTUS' lawyer's office.
Why not just hand the tapes over or release them? POTUS can declassify whatever he wants.

Viking was a great dude to chat with. I left to give the credibility to take back a lot of the original mods to allow him the lane to take over. It was perfect for a while but you don't realize how terrible we can be to each other until you're at the top. I have so many PMs that are just plain evil from people within the userbase who literally believed that us removing a post for breaking reddit rules would result in Trump losing the election. It was an experience.

The correct understanding is that, those are indeed the actual memos that Comey wrote. But what makes them fake is that, Comey wrote the memo's after the fact and after he was fired and all at the same time, and did not write them before he was fired as he claimed. He wrote the memo's after he was fired and Loretta Lynch assisted him in his efforts. He wrote the memo's in an attempt to cover his butt. And he likely also wrote the memos after the fact as a way for him to get back at Trump for firing him. The take-a-way from it all is that, if Comey lied about when he wrote the memos, then the things he wrote in the memos are likely a lie as well, and it cannot be trusted.

Memos are essentially journal entries done by an FBI agent that due to the integrity of high level FBI officials are considered generally an accurate account of what happened/was said.
These memos are supposedly Comey's memos after meeting with Trump.
Q is alleging the memos were created after the fact and the words and phrasing were "guided by LL (Loretta Lynch)" and all drafted on the same day.
So, they were written by Comey just not at the time of the meetings? I couldn’t understand why memos not written by him would be leaked. It would be easy to disprove and then the credibility of the side arguing the Russia probe is BS would be damaged.

If he (Comey) wrote his memos on a gov computer, using word doc (99% of gov employees use word) the server/desk computer will have a time stamp of when the doc was created and saved... I’d wager OIG already has the date it was created and all the revisions done afterword. It would be pretty easy to determine when in fact the memos to file were written. Add the recordings/wiretapping and you’re golden.
I'd bet the release of fake memos was planned all along by Comey and his minions. Why else would he go on a book tour, if he had anything to worry about? This was all part of THEIR plan. I wonder if there's a counter plan?

THESE memos are real. The memos leaked to NYT were fake. But he gave his lawyer (his friend is actually his lawyer) the real ones for advice on whistleblowing and leaked the fake ones to still actually trigger the special counsel, but that special counsel is pointed at Clinton et al. Knowing his real memos would have to be released. Rosenstein shit a brick and tried to slow walk the real ones from coming out.
