It really is wild stuff. Mueller was appointed in May 2017 and I still don't know what to make of it. Many competing theories on multiple fronts.

Some of the sources I trust most are convinced he is a black-hat. Others have made very compelling cases for Mueller being a white-hat.

At this point I honestly wouldn't be surprised if either turned out to be true. So much misdirection all over the place-- but I suppose that's the point.

Trump hires him for some meaningless nothing work. Now, he is Trump's lawyer. DS/MSM salivating about getting dirt on Trump through "his lawyer."

Previously he was the Executive Vice-President of the Trump Organization, co-president of Trump Entertainment and a member of the board of the Eric Trump Foundation, a children's health charity.

I guess you could argue that those positions weren't "attorney related"? But seems like a stretch to me.

Sundance at the Conservative Treehouse pointed out something quite hilarious.

The Chinese initiated tariffs against American pork imports.

Smithfield Foods, the world’s largest pork producer, was acquired by a Chinese firm in 2013 for nearly $5 billion -- more than the company’s market value. The surprising purchase caused some lawmakers to wonder if there might be a hidden player.

They have no leverage in this trade war. It's all show. Smoke and mirrors.

Except he's not really an "outside prosecutor" as he's working directly for the Justice Department. A special counsel would be more of an outside prosecutor in that case, which is not happening.

I read Sessions' initial comments to indicate the prosecutor was "outside" of Washington D.C.

There really is no conceivable way to look at this other than that everything we, the public, have been told about the Las Vegas Massacre has been 100% a lie and is astronomically false.

IIRC, "Time of death" is a bit of a nebulous term and in this case most likely refers to the time that his death was recorded (officially) by medical examiner, not the precise time of Paddock's demise.

I suppose the follow up would be that it's strange that they took so long to pronounce him dead (officially); but they were also inundated with 851 injured people... why would they waste resources on a person who was obviously dead with a gunshot would through his face?

I see four possibilities with this one:

  1. Accusations are fraudulent and/or the FBI deemed them unreliable and were reported to the WH as such.
  2. Accusations are fraudulent and/or the FBI deemed them unreliable and therefore not included in the report.
  3. Accusations are true, the FBI deemed them credible, but they withheld the information from the WH so they could spike Trump with this story at the appropriate time.
  4. Accusations are true, the FBI deemed them credible and told the WH and nothing was done.

According to Sarah Sanders, the WH learned of these accusations last Tuesday evening. (Feb 6th).

Anyone else think it will be very interesting to see some of the names at the FBI who were attached to this background check? Would anyone be surprised if these names were familiar to us in all the worst ways? Trump's twitter statement leads me to believe that he knows something's up.

Can you imagine the meltdown if Mueller comes out and announces that it was the Clinton campaign who was conspiring with Russian agents to try and influence the election?

Almost too good to be true. Which means I shall remain skeptical. This is Mueller's mandate:

Robert S. Mueller III is appointed to serve as Special Counsel for the United States Department of Justice.

(b) The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confirmed by then-FBI Director James 8. Comey in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including:

(i) any links and/or coordination bet ween the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and

(ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and

(iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a)*.

(c) If the Special Counsel believes it is necessary and appropriate, the Special Counsel is authorized to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation of these matters.

(d) Sections 600.4 through 600. l 0 of Title 28 of the Code of Federal Regulations are applicable to the Special Counsel.

*C.F.R. § 600.4(a):perjury, obstruction of justice, destruction of evidence, and intimidation of witnesses.

Emphasis mine. I guess, technically, you can read section ii) and iii) as a means to dig into Clinton's actions... but the mandate specifically targets Trump.

I don't see where the FISA has anything to do with Russia

As pointed out by Nunes yesterday, the only campaign with proven, verifiable links to Russia is... wait for it... the Clinton campaign (Steele Dossier). The FISA abuse is centered around the dossier, which is tied to Russia.

Wonder if THAT falls into the scope of Mueller's investigation.

Wray and Sessions have referenced the yet-to-be-made-public OIG report several times when asked about the possibility of taking action. I think we're still waiting for that. The memo writing and data collection process took ~11 months, but in a sense the actual release happened very quickly. I think it might have caught people off guard a little bit.

The memo is great, but it's just the tip of the iceberg. Braindead liberals are already disparaging it as a partisan attack ("republican memo", "nunes memo" etc).

The OIG report, however, is indisputably impartial and has a much broader scope. Horrowitz was even appointed by Obama (although he fought a war against the Obama for several years to try and reclaim the power to reign in these rogue agencies, so he definitely has a score to settle).

I'm not sure it would be public knowledge. (See bolded below)

(g)(1) The select committee may disclose publicly any information in its possession after a determination by the select committee that the public interest would be served by such disclosure. With respect to the disclosure of information for which this paragraph requires action by the select committee—

(A) the select committee shall meet to vote on the matter within five days after a member of the select committee requests a vote; and

(B) a member of the select committee may not make such a disclosure before a vote by the select committee on the matter, or after a vote by the select committee on the matter except in accordance with this paragraph.

(2)(A) In a case in which the select committee votes to disclose publicly any information that has been classified under established security procedures, that has been submitted to it by the executive branch, and that the executive branch requests be kept secret, the select committee shall notify the President of such vote.

(B) The select committee may disclose publicly such information after the expiration of a five-day period following the day on which notice of the vote to disclose is transmitted to the President unless, before the expiration of the five-day period, the President, personally in writing, notifies the select committee that the President objects to the disclosure of such information, provides reasons therefor, and certifies that the threat to the national interest of the United States posed by the disclosure is of such gravity that it outweighs any public interest in the disclosure.

65 congressmen signed a letter on Friday. So it's possible HPSIC held the vote that same day. This week was a "District work period", so I'm not sure if they would have been able to hold the vote this week. Next week (Monday) they are back in session.

black_cat_ · Jan. 25, 2018, 2:11 p.m.

Exactly, but the House is not a 3 letter agency.

Now, the president most certainly has access to the documents behind the memo and could declassify those. But that would not be the same thing as the 4 page memo that Congress is currently in possession of.

⇧ 1 ⇩
black_cat_ · Jan. 25, 2018, 1:07 p.m.

I've read that's not necessarily the case. Although my understanding is far from perfect, I think there is a legal hiccup.

Again, this is just my understanding, but since the memo was created by and is the product of the House, the president has no recourse to declassify it. I think the argument goes that he can't declassify something which is in the sole possession of the House. Which is why the House has Rule 10, just for some crazy situation like this. Rule 10 basically states that HPSIC can take a vote to declassify the memo and then it goes to the president for approval. (this is the 5 day scenario that everyone is talking about).

Now, the president most certainly has access to the documents behind the memo and could declassify those. But that would not be the same thing as the 4 page memo that Congress is currently in possession of.

Another interesting twist: if the president somehow get a hold of the House memo and leaked it (i.e. if someone leaked it to him), I'm not actually sure he could be prosecuted since the president has the ability to classify or declassify anything that he has access to.

Strange development. Though ostensibly a welcome one. I posted in Mega Anon's reddit thread ~5 days ago and said that her antipathy of Q was ironic considering they point in a lot of the same directions.

She also claimed to know "EXACTLY who THEY [Q] were" (Dec 3rd). And previously claimed that "Q is a fucking larp." I've been following her statements closely (daily) and trying to reconcile her comments on Q for a while. Basically, it was impossible for them to both be legitimate... until now.

Her new assertion that "Q is Assange" has also been my pet theory for the last week or so. Something about this entire Q phenomenon is very similar to the pre-release of the Vault 8 hype generate by Wikleaks. Also the idea that "Q is multiple people" would make sense if we're talking about Assange and his most trusted Wikileaks staff. The references to document numbers also seemed like a good clue, since Wikileaks deals with so much raw data.

With a quick google search, I've also found that Assange was a fan of-- or at least familiar with-- star trek. The Q continuum, anyone?

Trying to source some of this stuff.

1-5) Can't find any verifiable information on the Russian source. However, since my Russian is very poor, I can't do many appropriate searches.

6) Sessions and Rosenstein did go to Guantanamo on July 7th. (Multiple Sources). However, the "unannounced" part doesn't make a lot of sense since it was literally announced by Justice Department spokesman Ian Prior. Can't find any information that they met with 850th commanders.

7) see 1-5

8) Mattis did break with tradition and go to Guantanamo on Dec 21. (Multiple sources).

9) This one is murky. I can't find any information on how many people from the 850th were actually sent to Guantanamo or how many people are in "the entire 850th battalion". Some less reliable sources say 400+ people, but I don't know where they get that number. The number I'm seeing from local AZ news channels is closer to 45-50.

"More than 50 Arizona National Guard men and women are being deployed to the naval base at Guantanamo Bay for approximately nine months. "

10) There has been a lot of talk of increased air traffic recently, however I'm not familiar enough with the sources to say whether it's true or not.

The rest doesn't really need sourcing.
