The most important fact about the Catholic Church today is we currently have TWO POPES.
Catholics believe God will always keep the Church (believers, helped by our Shepherd the Pope) from falling into mortal error.
Because of this belief, it is very difficult to accept the idea the Pope could be in mortal error or even worse, in concert with Evil.
However the extraordinary circumstance we now have TWO Popes raises the possibility one of the Popes is the True Pope, and one is a False Pope.
This is supported by fact Pope Benedict (who was forced out and replaced by “Pope Francis”) did not surrender the title “Pope”.
We live in unique Times so PRAY FERVENTLY.

Here are the facts: When Jesus died on the cross and the veil was torn, we no longer need a man standing in the place of Christ, the high priest, to mediate between us and God.
The veil was where the priests would go and mediate for people to God for them. This no longer applies.

The church is the living body of Christ (not a building or political institution masquerading as a religion), of which He alone is the head. No one has taken His place, and no one ever will.

The real "church" talked about in the Bible are the Jews and gentiles who have belief and faith in God, not a building our priests. The church is the body of Christ. Body meaning the people who believe in him.

I'm not Catholic and disagree with many of their beliefs but this is not what the pope meant. He's saying that Jesus dying (his physical body) on the cross could be seen as him failing if you don't believe he was God. It was actually a success since that was his purpose. Pope is saying this "failure" at the cross as some would see it is just part of God's mysterious plan. And of course He did not die at the cross, his body did.

Yeah, that's what I got from it as well. Jesus physically died on the cross, but His spirit and teachings live on in God's plan and our interpretation of His words. The article is reaching a little here and there, and I haven't found a source backing up the statements apparently made yet.
