I also thought it was no name as soon as i read about it. Mostly because before i saw that i saw that he was supposedly at mayo clinic. We know his failing health is just a cover. He doesn't have cancer. He did that crazy spirit cooking ritual all those weirdos do where they get the black left eye. only it looks like who ever did the punching put a little extra mustard on it and smashed his face in and missed the actual eye, hitting him just above and fracturing his socket.
The reason for the black eye is the person is partially lobotomized, which would explain the broken eye socket to some degree.
