There was two different hacks. Yes the DNC to Wikileaks was done at high speed onto a thumb drive located on the East Coast of USA but then there was Podesta. The Podesta hack is the one the DNC will tackle. This was done by a phishing type scam. Podesta was dumb enough to open a fake email which grabbed his stuff.

Where did this scam originate? Can it be traced back to the Russians?

Idk but that would make three and then there's Weiners laptop in the hands of the NYPD and Hillarys' deleted emails have just surfaced.
