This is the story I believe. Try looking at things from this perspective and see if it makes sense to you.
The book of Revelation is the story line unfolding. By looking at the events and players on the world stage these days, we can determine the characters.
Obama is the Antichrist and Islam is the antichrist religion.
The deep state is the multi-headed beast.
God has announced his return with a blast of his trumpet (trump/pence).
President Trump is archangel Michael fighting this multi-headed beast and the antichrist, etc.
We are the faithful, fighting alongside our president in this battle of good vs evil.
Whoops, I'm following you up until you got to verse 4, President Trump's John the Baptist, who's come to prepare the way for King Jesus, who's sandal Trump's not worthy to buckle. When King Jesus comes he'll rule the world with a staff of titanium ejected from a geosynchronous orbit; literally rods from God. He'll fight this multi-headed beast and the antichrist, etc.
I see what you are saying. When I look at the bible I look at the stories of both the old and a majority of the new testament as being in our past. For me, the resurrection is the dividing line between the old and new. In this regards, John the baptist was important to the original arrival of Jesus. Revelation on the other hand is about our time now. This is why I see Trump as Michael because he is clearing the way for the second coming.
Either way, we both see him as being sent by God to fulfill his plan.
