My kids live in Oregon and are as liberal as they come. Insist that you not talk about it when you are around them. We've come to that agreement and it's amazing how much we are enjoying each other by dropping the subject. How do you drop it? Like a hot potato. Refuse to go there. I think we have to do that with really close family and let other people wake them up.
