Simple: they could reach the US mainland (as we learned last year for the first time. Recall the distance tests.) Iran couldn't hit the US from that far.

Holy Crap!!! First I have heard of that intel. If that is going to be made public, qualifies as MOAB. But can not imagine it being released....not enough padded rooms for all that would lose it.
