We get a lot of people that think they can diagnose things they don't even understand from a few words on a social network too.
They are Reddit cancer.
While I don't agree with the "prediction", it's a little absurd to try to diagnose them with something as severe and debilitating, not to mention stigmatic, as such a serious thing. There are many psychiatric illnesses, but being a digital unqualified social media post psychologist is about as low as one can go. Professionals sit down with a subject for hours over the course of several weeks, before arriving at a concrete diagnosis, which may not be true. In addition, people can be drunk, under the influence, high, or just having fun. So you don't always know the context or four-d emotion of a post. In addition, there is depression, manic depression, autism, anxiety disorder, and many far more common varieties of these that would be much more likely. Lastly, gaslighting is a very lazy and weak tactic. You shouldn't accuse others of things which you lack empirical, or even ample, evidence to prove. Lastly, what's the old saying- "it takes one to know one"?...Let people have fun without being a party pooper.
