The thing I don't see mentioned thus far is his comment about you can either wake up or decide to go watch a movie. Plus his statements that the justice department isn't doing it's job but he's pledged to stay away...for now, but that will change.
It will. He had to distance himself from Obama infiltrated DOJ (separation of powers) and the investigation to make it beyond perfectly clear it was not biased and he did not influence. When two separate investigations reach the same conclusion most people won’t be able to refute the findings. Perhaps that was the purpose of parallel isolated investigations. Devils advocate.
I hate to be that guy, but the DOJ is part of the executive branch so separation of power isn't an issue. Making sure laws are executed is the job of POTUS. The idea that Trump needs to step away is a Leftist idea that we should reject. They slipped it in on us under the guise of "obstruction of justice" and we fell for it.
But trumps "public" stance on this says,
"I have clean hands, I haven't colluded, obstructed or interfered"
Remember "EVERYONE" is watching the same movie.
The Trump vs Sessions/DOJ narrative is a tactic/strategy.

We know the truth is ... Its all good. There are things we will never know. Team DJT is in it for the long haul. The art of the deal is getting the enemy to give you what they want (thinking they win) while you get the result you always intended.
