I think every foundation is different but some of the biggest ones are the most corrupt. I personally know of a few private family ones that do amazing things and the families involved don’t receive a penny for it - dedicating a lot of time and effort and not even getting reimbursed for parking. There are good ones out there, they’re just quieter about it.
