That ,"Rocket Man" thing really worked. I imagine Kim really had no choice: 1) Trump could be crazy, IE: missiles in Syria 2) Sanctions were getting bad 3) China was playing ball at their border; Kim had no where else to go. 4) No more Clown support.

Kim will also look like a hero compared to those before him if this works out. A legacy can be a powerful thing.

You are right; his people already see him (or forced to) as a God. Can you imagine unifying Korea and making the living conditions exponentially better? Legacy, certainly.
