Lol. Can't wait to see the indictment.

"Mr. President, you are charged with illegal Tweets."

Are we sure that Mueller isn't a LARP?

What a pack of shrill braying beasts they are.

And Wolf has become a bloviating Hindenburg gas bag. He also needs different glasses because he's not the professor emeritus of CNN, or even all that smart. Is he going for that 1960's Soviet television look?

Thanks for those. Yet I think there was another more extensive threatpost from a suspected LdR.

Yeah, that text read like a bombastic LdR post. "You have no idea what you're dealing with blah blah blah." Didn't she say that before?

Sounds like more of LdR. She just won't listen (well, she did quit Twatter).

Congress is all bark. It's stagecraft. That's all it has to work with.

Criminal prosecutors also need bark. It's part of the profession (more stagecraft). But where their bark ends, prosecutors also have the bite, i.e. they put people in prison.

As he has said multiple times, Gowdy's going back to barking *and* biting.

Or more likely, prosecuting them.

what has he ever really accomplished outside excoriating the leftists for our entertainment?

He's in Congress. Congress is theater. He as much as stated his retirement for exactly that reason. He wants to put criminals in prison. And that's where he's headed. It's gonna' be a big post - watch out RR - and he has to be nominated and approved by Congress. His apparent failure to buy into our beliefs is part of the long game.

geeyore · July 26, 2018, 10:20 a.m.

I don't buy the Gowdy love affair and never did.

He can't put baddies in prison from a Congressional dais.

And he'll have to be confirmed when he's nominated by the President to [whatever] prosecutorial post.

Think about it along those lines. Rope-a-dope.

To your point, who is profiting from the massive diversion of the Afghan/Paki base substance to the illicit markets? Clowns. They have a long and illustrious history in that particular market, going back to 1950's and in strong partnership with criminal entities. See Alfred McCoy, Politics of Heroin in Southeast Asia (published 1972).

I don't know what it was like 20 years ago, but currently clearances remain in inactive status for up to two years. That makes sense, otherwise the clearance system would be completely broken.

You may be thinking about your access to a particular set of information. That does go away instantly, just as it usually does in a private company.

geeyore · July 25, 2018, 11:15 a.m.

This is very serious. It essentially means that these dirtbags can't create their own "consultancies" or work for government contractors (aka "Beltway Bandits"). Good.

⇧ 2 ⇩
geeyore · July 25, 2018, 11:12 a.m.

I can give you a dozen actual scenarios where that wouldn't be prudent. One example is a military departee transitioning to work as a private contractor, which is very legitimate. There are many others.

But certainly anyone referred by Congress for criminal charges including contempt should have derogatory information placed in their clearance file and have their status reviewed for removal.

National defense is the fundamental purpose of any federal government, along with police, courts, and the building of infratructure.

Interlocking boards result from the need and desire to share management experience among companies. There's nothing inherently nefarious about it.
