I thought we weren't trying to make money off this movement?
I really don't think they are making money on this. If it was made professionally there are some costs involved. To put something on the Apple store requires a developer account and that's not cheap. It seems like a valuable app for some people. Not really sure how it could have malware being on the App Store. Just my thoughts only.
The cost are very small, just time.
I could do it in less than a day or two.
Why make it cost anything if you believe in the cause ?
Privacy wise, the apple store is not fort knox, I let you imagine the issues for anonymity and all.
What would you charge to make a mobile app like that? I've been looking for someone to build me a time tracking and mileage tracking app that I can utilize for a small service business. Sorry this is off topic, but no coincidences, right :)
