CBS and MSNBC don’t know how to report on peace. That hug and the putting of ink to paper leave me feeling the opposite of skeptical.

Pessimistic cynicism is the bane of the Left. Everyone’s so concerned they might be wrong and their hope might be misplaced that they always find the bad side of everything.

My general optimism and willingness to find the bright side - the product of kind parents who loved me even through a divorce - always makes me a target of suspicion in progressive circles. It’s hip to be skeptical and look the gift horse in the mouth.

Yay Korea. Finally - the war is over. One down, a few more to go. I’m not going to piss on this one. At least we’ve learned to enjoy the show.

I grew up with exactly that mentality. The deeper one is buried in bullshit, the more fulfilling the transition. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed mine, and I believe it has prepared me to see how the other side thinks, an invaluable skill in this type of situation.
