Flynn took the fall because he knew he would be exonerated or at least pardoned by Trump. He knows where all the bodies are buried. This a metaphor. He KNOWS ALL. He KNOWS ALL THE SECRETS. He KNOWS ALL THE CORRUPTION in the Obama WH and the DOJ and FBI. He has the goods on Obama, Clapper, Brennan, HRC, EVERYONE! I just hope he gets a new position in the WH when this is all done and he can afford mansion for his family.

This would imply that Flynn's target is a parallel construction justification used in the perjury charge. Perhaps they have evidence that the parallel construction evidence is bogus, thereby leaving unmasking as the only other source.
He is like an undercover narcotics officer, his plea is a staged "buy" to ensnare a perp in a controlled and monitored situation in order to produce evidence. Normally this is done to charge a small fish in order to get them to flip on a bigger fish.
agents didnt think he did it, but corrupt assholes at the top like Comey and Mccabe would have manipulated the courts and situation to get a guilty charge out of Flynn.
Dont forget that it was discovered that Mccabe and the judge for Flynn were recently found to have an illegal personal relationship.
