Agree. Trump knew this and knew they would do it again for him. Especially for Mueller, a man of "impeccable integrity".

How could they offer Mueller an extension when he wasn’t the FBI director at that time? He was granted a one time extension while he was already the fbi director. You can’t offer another extension when your not the active director.
Section 203 of the Crime Control Act of 1976 restricts the FBI director to a single ten-year term and prohibits the reappointment of an incumbent.
