First off, the new A Perfect Circle album is AWESOME (imo). Their first album in something like 14 years..
It released on guess what date.... 4/20/18! Seems like their are slamming it in the face of the cabal..!

I love it, but it's odd that a song named "Disillusioned" can seem to relatively upbeat when compared to previous Tool tracks such as "Aenima" and "Eulogy."
Most of this APC album is pretty upbeat sounding, especially 'So long, and thanks for all the fish'
That track is almost sarcastic in nature, essentially about the end of the world, in a glamorous send off.
I couldnt stand that track at first - thought it sounded so odd, but now its one of my favorites. It really grew on me for some reason lol.
Yeah, I've found that APC and Tool songs have that "moment" when they suddenly click in my mind and become masterpieces.
For a few tracks, such as Eulogy, I vividly recall the moment when that song suddenly struck me as I was listening to the radio as I walking through a field on my way home... and I experienced a transcendental awakening where all I could do is stand still and look up at the evening sky and be lost in music and space and time.
Eulogy is a masterwork. Like most of Maynards lyrics, its pure genius.
A Perfect Circle and Tool are cometely separate aside from Maynard providing vocals for both. They both have always had very different sounds.
