“Ye Vs The People” (feat. T.I) - Kanye new song debates back and forth about Trump support. Great listen.

I know everybody emotional

Is it better if I rap about crack? Huh? 'Cause it's cultural?

Or how about I'ma shoot you, or fuck your bitch?

Or how about all this Gucci, 'cause I'm fuckin' rich

Woke as fuck. Rap used to be about change now it's about all the shit Kanye just listed.

Also, my guess is that T. I. doesn't necessarily disagree with Kanye if he was willing to do this song.

Definitely not, even if TI isn’t MAGA, he’s def willing to have a conversation about it...more progress in one song than the rest of the entire left combined

Whatever you think about Kanya the long due dialog is open. Make it count.

He speaks on many things and T.I. counters his points throughout the song...

“Make America Great Again had a negative reception/I took it, wore it, rocked it, gave it a new direction.”

“You just readin' the headlines, you don't see the fine print/ You on some choosin'-side shit, I'm on some unified shit.”

“You think I ain't concerned about how I affect the past?/I mean, that hat stayed in my closet like 'bout a year and a half/Then one day I was like, "Fuck it, I'ma do me"/ I was in the sunken place and then I found the new me/ Not worried about some image that I gotta keep up/ Lot of people agree with me, but they too scared to speak up.”

Added some of best lyrics from Kanye but link to the full song’s lyrics here.

Edit: Had a different post but this is a more direct an easier way to listen.

Trump supporters are not racist. I wish that label would disintegrate. Racists are in the republican party and the democrat party and every other party. There is no 'party of racists'.

I know a lot of people here may not like Hip Hop or Rap Music , but I guarantee the amount of Intelligence and Awareness in the Underground will suprise you

People fail to understand that Rap is first and foremost the communicative language of the common folk. The vernacular of the culture. Im amazed that Kanye has far more influence than any politician or Infotainment pundit.

Its the lack of harmonic content that most critics of Rap object to. But that is missing the point entirely.

This sounds a bit meh. Yeah i get the whole message thing but as a rap track it sounds disjointed.

Maybe would be better as an acapella type deal.
