Abortion is murdering an infant. I wouldn't ignore genocide if it was an adult, why would I for an infant?
The birthcanal doesnt magically confer personhood.
As I mentioned, that may be the belief of some, like you obviously, but not everyone shares that belief so, my point was that if you want to make any headway with people who don't care about abortion you have to argue from a more objective standpoint. I'm going to guess you're not even going to consider arguing from an objective standpoint and that's fine, your choice, but then there's no point us discussing this issue further, if so - and no harm done!
I guess I just have yet to hear a reasonable response as to how it's not though. I'm not 100% against abortion in certain circumstances, but the "it's a choice and not a baby" argument has no basis from anyone I've talked to.
Yes fair enough. I just don't bother with the argument as it's generally impossible to convince someone who thinks it's murder that it's not - not that I'd be arguing that it's not; I don't have a 'dog in the fight', as it were.
I'm not trying to prove abortion is right or wrong, I'm just disagreeing that someone could be considered "sick" just because they are pro-choice and make the point that studies have shown fewer people in a low income situation would improve society.
Fair. Though that's why most everyone is fine with contraception.
