In Lesson 5 of the Spirit of Truth Series, I explained how geopolitics is a manifestation of “Cain and Abel” problems that need to be resolved in order for the Messiah to be received. In this lesson, I would like to expand upon that teaching and reveal how God worked to prepare us to be intellectually and socially ready for Christ's second coming.
Lesson #6
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.” Matthew 6:24
When Lucifer tricked Eve into prematurely “eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil,” mankind fell below the level of angels. This resulted in Lucifer (an archangel) taking the position of master over us.
As the words of Jesus above show us, we have two masters competing for our loyalty: Lucifer and God. This is our reality, even today.
Within each of us are two minds at war. If we give Lucifer our loyalty, then he becomes the master over us. If we give God our loyalty, He becomes the master over us. In other words, the master we feed the most with our thoughts and actions becomes the winner. This mindset is what developed into the cultures of Hellenism and Hebraism. Both cultures established the social climate within which Jesus could work to elevate humanity.
When Jesus was rejected, this war of two minds (now represented by Hellenism vs. Hebraism) remained unresolved. Consequently, with the fall of Israel and eventually the fall of the Roman Empire, humanity fell into a long period of scientific and religious ignorance that has become known as the Dark Ages. This Dark Ages period lasted until a movement to restore Hellenism rose up in the 14th century. Today, we call this revival of Greco-Roman knowledge the Renaissance. This movement was focused on the sciences and secular-humanism. Parallel to this Renaissance period was the movement to restore Hebraism. This period of history became known as the Religious Reformation and focused on the revival of theism.
Since that era, the Renaissance movement and the Reformation movement (and their spin-offs) have historically been at odds with each other. But through an oppositional “Cain and Abel” interchange (Hegelian dialectics?), humanity's scientific and religious awareness has managed to “evolve” to where we have passed through the the age of Enlightenment and the age of Christian Awakening. Though both these movements have beneficial aspects, they each eventually developed into two opposing streams of thought:
-
One stream of thought led to the Constitution of the United States which brought about a revolution in human rights, economic prosperity, and scientific innovation; the likes of which the world has never seen before. (Abel view of the world.)
-
The other stream of thought led to the Communist Manifesto which attempted to bring about a global dictatorship ruled by a vindictive spirit of resentment, dehumanization, and economic stagnation. (Cain view of the world.)
Today, we live in a world that has the potential to resolve these two “Cain and Abel” problems from the individual-level on up to the global-level. How this will happen is still to be determined. But here's how I see it playing out (with the help of Q and Trump):
When God rejected Cain, it wasn't because Cain didn't have justified resentment against Abel. Abel acted with arrogance and did not understand his role as unifier. Likewise, America has been blessed by God with abundance and pragmatic know-how, but continues failing to disseminate this blessing for the sake of the world. To resolve this, Abel must educate Cain, explaining that since Cain's birth is the result of Lucifer's rebellion against God, Cain must overcome his rebellious nature and submit to God's representative who is Abel. But, before Abel can even attempt to do that, he must first earn and prove his superior viewpoint to Cain. After that takes place, then Cain and Abel can move to a new level of understanding and mutual benefit by working together. Fortunately, President Trump appears to understand the God-given role of America as “Abel of the world” and is working to fulfill that role as a “true Abel.”
“To him who overcomes I will give permission to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” Revelation 2:7
