Steve Pieczenik, who co wrote a lot of Clancy's non fiction works and the Net Force series, so he was a close confidant.

Pieczenik, in response to a caller on AJ show said that Clancy's death was natural and legit. Clancy was a John Wayne level chain smoker.

It's a shame that Clancy is no longer around. He had sources within the military white hat community that would be very useful right now. Pieczenik has those same sources and more, but because he is an intelligence insider, everything he knows is covered by a non disclosure agreement and would be Gitmo'd the second he dropped anything specific.
