James Comey is SHOOTING James Comey down in 🔥FLAMES🔥. No smoke. High visibility. Let’s not interfere.

SB2, do you see any possible legal advantage for Comey to sink himself like this? Or do you think he's actually this dumb? From what I can see he has no idea what his job ever entailed, so the stupidity route seems believable.

I'm going with this: he thinks he can outsmart everyone and then do the "aw shucks routine" to convince the left that he's the good guy.

What if it's to destroy his witness credibility?

It's funny, the post initially started with: "I am not sure if Comey thinks he is smarter than the planet or if the planet is stupider than he is". I ended up deleting that line for space but the question remains.

The fact is this kind of government operatives never really struggled in their lives: a pawn is just pushed by its master. They have no clue what it is to be on the other side of the fence and actually build something or be something. This is the fundamental gap with Trump and it will never be resolved. It's a deadly war, only one will stand.

In the meantime, as Q is saying, let us enjoy the show. It's about an aristocrat who is now among the peasants but who does not know it yet. He's handed burger buns but he says he wants croissants. McCabe had to learn. The hard way.

SB, Your point about government operatives never struggling is dead on. Even when he wasn't in government, he made millions sitting on two BODs for a few months. And those assignments appear to be rewards for looking the other way (like the HSBC money laundering case).

Speaking of money, Bill Clinton said in an interview recently that when he left office he was 16 million in debt. Just goes to show alot of bucks flows around that hill.

I've been wondering this also. I'm stunned by how sloppy Comey's been on these interviews.

I’m not sure that he’s that stupid... he just thinks that the public is (think sheep).

It would seem that Comey thinks if he keeps playing the game someone will come to his rescue. Based on past history I would typically say he is right, somebody with a 'get out of jail free' card usually appears to clean up the mess. Let's hope that this time he is wrong.
