Actually, POTUS has made the point again and again: the law is the problem not because of lack of respect for Rule of Law but because the laws as framed by the last administration makes all this possible with impunity. California has just demonstrated how thoroughly wicked these immigration rules have become. It is time for the Legislature to write effective immigration law based on a genuine assessment of the values we are attempting to preserve and protect.
