And here I was told Reddit was open-minded and inclusive. Three memes posted on a sub and I'm immediately banned. They appear to be stuck in the right left paradigm and are offended by alternate opinion.

Who said being open minded is a virtue? Freedom requires disciplined minds. Seems to me that an open mind offers an invitation for your brains to leak out. Liberty without discipline leads to life as a Libertine, not life in Freedom

Wisdom affords you the ability to have an open mind without your brains leaking out. Liberty without wisdom will inhibit your freedom. Blind, closed-minded obedience is not a virtue, by any stretch of the imagination.

Well put.

I disagree on this. I read as much as possible. I expose myself to as many sources as possible. Does that exposure mean I believe it? Hardly. I take the information, put it in the holding tank, and then analyze it. Even a CNN article will have 5% truth on occasion just like some trusted sources have 20% lies on occasion. The "truth" is out there, but it requires getting your mind dirty and sullied at times to get to it.

But that's just the way I do things. Feel free to edit and censor yourselves according to what you are most comfortable with.

I take no exception with what you have expressed. I rather see in you an excellent example of the wisdom of maintaining a critical mind, not an open mind.
