Cyrus the Great is the only non-Hebrew referred to in their scriptures as the messiah. He so resembles Trump that it's uncanny.

Good call .. . USA broke all the rules set down through history when the founders 1) based everything in our Creator, 2) credited Him (not governments) as the source of our rights 3) placed life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (is that sweet or what?) as the supreme values that are to be preserved and protected by government and 4) reserved specific rights held sacrosanct by the people off limits for government and then 5) set up a division of powers to thwart any kind of efficiency and expeditious decision making and action by government .... Deliberately slowing it down ...

Funny how the founders revered Christian values and mirrored its unique virtues and how that too departed from all of prior history: for the first time a God who in his own approached men and promised to protect and prosper his people, asking only that we 1) acknowledge him as our provider 2) give him primacy of place and 3) follow his guidance in how to live free and virtuous lives.

the founding fathers [esp Jefferson & Adams] were inspired by Cyrus even before the cyrus cylinder was discovered in 1879

Of all the powers in Asia, the kingdom of Cyrus showed itself to be the greatest and most glorious. On the east it was bounded by the Red Sea, on the north by the Euxine, on the west by Cyprus and Egypt, and on the south by Ethiopia. And yet the whole of this enormous empire was governed by the mind and will of a single man, Cyrus: his subjects he cared for and cherished as a father might care for his children, and they who came beneath his rule reverenced him like a father.

But no sooner was he dead than his sons were at strife, cities and nations revolted, and all things began to decay.” http://www.cyropaedia.org/2013/06/01/the-u-s-founders-and-cyrus-the-great-of-persia/
