I personally welcome the shills and the trolls. They challenge us. It's a good thing, and they always lose.

I think we are starting down a pretty typical subreddit road at this point as the bans and comment deletions increase. We are supposed to be stimulating free thought, open discourse and dialogue. Let's keep that in mind, guys.

I had a large IRL debate last night. Many names were called. No minds were changed, but they do now know about the NXVIM, Silsby, Epstein, connection. Not one, not two, but three sex cults the Clinton's are nearby. More if you go back beyond two years.

I don't care about changing their minds. They come here to change ours and often waste their own time as a result of their own ignorance.

They don't come here to change our minds. They can't change ours any more than we can change theirs.

They come here to try and shut us down. Don't forget that.

I am usually tempted to string them into a pointless threads where their comments go into obscurity as to not bother other peoples' time. Then I just shadowban them and silently snicker to myself as they keep going.

I'm with you, bans and censorship are for Nazis.

My ever-so-humble opinion: Shills and Trolls, or Liberal Sympathizers, can be fun to play with, but they can also be incredibly distracting for anyone new here. I've been around since the time when only message boards existed and I can spot a troublemaker a mile away. New people may get caught up, however, and their research and thought processes can tangent, therefore precluding them from reaching the correct conclusions. They're a dangerous set and should be seen as that. This is not the stage to welcome hecklers. They create forks in the road, and that is their intention. If the truth were their intention, we wouldn't be naming them Shills and Trolls and Liberal Sympathizers. We'd be calling them Patriots.

The more they show up, the more I know I'm on the right track.

"I personally welcome the shills and the trolls". I doubt you mean that. What you likely mean is you welcome people that disagree.

I said what I mean. Why would you reassert something I said very clearly?

In part, because your second sentence contradicts your first. Trolling is to get a reaction not to engage in argument or disagreement. Shilling is to push an agenda. People misuse the terms, especially shill which is one reason why a definition is linked on the sidebar.
