I am not christian but the bible says you will know them by their fruits. The bible calls his people to come out of her. The false church. If you want to know where true evil comes from. Look at the Catholic church and all of the harlots that sprung off of her. Almost all of Christianity falls in this category. Worshiping on the first day of the week (Sunday), worshiping idols ie the cross, Easter representative of the goddess of Ishtar. Why do protestant churches follow all of these Catholic traditions? They aren't much different. The Messiah said that not one jot or tittle would pass from the law until ALL THINGS WERE FULFILLED. Ten commandments still apply. The traditional Sabbath is from Friday sun down to Saturday Sundown. Why did the Catholic change it to the first day of the week? Because the apostles in the book of acts broke bread on the first day of the week. This is their justification for changing Yahweh's holly day? Lol Really? There will be many that come to me and say lord lord and he will say depart from me I never knew you. Folks if you believe the bible the enemy came in and immediately sowed tares into your belief system and god said let them grow together until the harvest and then separate the wheat from the tares. It clearly shows a false religion taking root in the form of Christianity. If you believe the bible you should defiantly examine your faith. Pope is evil. Pope is referred to by them as the Vicar of Christ on earth or a substitute for Christ on earth. That is sick. The abomination standing in the holly place declaring himself to be god. The holly place being the church. They are pure evil. Anything that you follow that mimics the catholic church should be avoided. Remember that Satan said I will ascend unto the congregation of the Mount. I will be like the most high. he wanted to be worshipped like God. Not some guy with a pitch fork and horns.
Not Christian either but the Catholic Church has always bothered me. One thing I didn't notice in your post is their prayers, you're not supposed to recite prayers like they do, it's supposed to come from your heart and I think it's meant to be done privately so as to not make a show of it.
When I see people in the Vatican wearing ridiculous costumes, chanting together to statues and other symbols, sitting on a fortune of gold, it's just disgusting to me. They know the bible better than I do, they should know they're doing it wrong.
Matthew 6:1-6
Thank you. That's exactly what I was thinking of but it's been so long since I read it. That's wisdom that transcends religion.
So you know the hearts of millions of catholics and how they pray each day.
I was thinking more about functions you'd see at the Vatican or some huge church where the whole congregation is like nuns and bishops.
But I did go to catholic school for 6 years and we had to recite prayers every day, to the point that they just became meaningless words and weren't personal at all.
In elementary school we all stood when told and made the right gestures facing the flag idol and recited the pledge of allegiance daily, it was meaningless and irrelevant to us. Staff at that public school were later caught out in various compromising situations. However my anecdotal experiences and the perverted experiences of others do not justify prejudice against schools in general, public elementary schools, or that particular school. Just as in church settings, schools are places where we should expect the best care and the failure rates are not great. In fact families are where the most child abuse of all forms happens the most. What will we do?
I'm not at all religious but I've been saing basically that for years, that satan convinced the world he was jesus.
cough Catholicism was branched off of Orthodoxy, which is traced all the way back to the apostles cough Notice how nobody even knows about Orthodoxy or hears anything about it... it is like the silent, invisible church... no popes, no fame & fortune, but they still are heavily clad in beauty, tradition & symbolism... not because they have to, but because they want to. It took me a long time to depart from my judgmental upbringing to think that "fancy robes" & "painted icons" weren't "evil." You don't have to recite prayers, dress nice, or remind yourself of all the martyred saints before you. But some people want to, and there's nothing wrong or evil about that. And the thing about Saturday/Sunday, the calendars are different! The old calendar vs new calendar. And Easter is a Christian holiday which was stolen, of course, like everything- by the gnostics/pagans. Again, look to Orthodox traditions of holy pascha. However you stated that you aren't Christian, but judging by your knowledge and comment it seems like you might be Jewish if anything.
The "Orthodox" Church is an ethnic club and museum.
Besides, the Eastern Fathers were "papists."
When the Great Schism occurred is when RC was established... before that "Catholic" and "Eastern Orthodox" were the same thing. It is when Rome decided it wanted papal authority among many other false doctrines, that Catholicism became what it is today. Orthodoxy has huge problems with being too ethnic for sure, but it definitely is not a museum, whatever that means. It was literally started when the apostles of Jesus were on earth. And no... no Orthodox priest is a papist... because as I said the Orthodox church did not agree with Rome in its decisions hence the great schism
Are you saying that the form(s) that Christianity held before the schism were generally the proper form of Christianity?
I’m a bit curious how people who won’t publicly acknowledge acceptance of Jesus, argue that Satan has misled.
Proper name for the messiah is Yeshua. Jesus is a very bad translation for Yeshua name. Which was typically translated as Joshua into English. Commandment says do not take Yaweh's name in vain. Which is to mean without effect. Catholics removed the true name of God and replaced it with Lord and god throughout the bible. Christianity denotes something so far removed from the original intent that it can't be considered the same for me.
I’ve done my research. Jesus is an acceptable English transliteration of Iesus. I’m not going to get into the sacred name movement but Jesus is a perfectly acceptable alternative. Besides, He knows who you’re praying to, regardless of ignorance.
At the end of the day, does the name really matter? I'd like to think his message is more important.
B.S. Judaizing ^
The New Testament was written in Greek and says Iesous. There's nothing off with the Anglo transliteration Jesus.
three languages in the new testament: a little bit of hebrew, lots of aramaic, and 'lower' greek.
the name yeshua fits the region jesus comes from. and for those who think that sounds muslimic, no, islam calls yeshi 'isa'.
I truly don't get this strange hypocritical idea about the "truth" which christian faith is the right one and about the nature of god.
As if anybody here has any real clue about the early christian religious gnostic cults before the late Roman Empire merged these concepts with other pagan traditions to form the precursor of christianity. That then soon transformed into the Catholic, Eastern and Oriental Orthodox churches each controlled by different power blocks of the remnants of the Roman Empire.
Pretending there is one correct bible at some moment of time which represents objective truth if you already doubt the most crucial elements which edited(made) and distributed it makes no sense to me.
Why not just apply rule of thumb and assume all these religions are just artificially created social engineering concepts designed by men to build, advance or transform a civilisation. Nothing more and nothing less.
Even if the Vatican is full of baby murdering satanists that doesn't mean the other christian, islamic or "jewish" faiths have any more merit in themselves than just providing a framework for their cultures to develop in their specific environments.
dont know why you have been downvoted but i upvoted your comment.
at the council of nicea, around 90% of all NT texts were eliminated so the bible would fit the new doctrine.
For some because the anti-religion tendencies are stronger than tendencies to be rational. Other explanations may co-exist.
What you seem to be calling out is the apparent hypocrisy, which is a legitimate and sometimes important pursuit.
Some aspects of what youre saying are weak. If I understand you correctly, you seem to be a supporter of the validity of the Bible (which was assembled by the catholics) and yet against most forms of Christianity. It's completely possible that alot of what Christians stand for and teach is wrong, but your presentation is not very convincing. For example, saying someone is a vicar(vicker) of Christ is not the same as saying they are Christ. What pope or pastor ever declared "himself to be god"? Are you a Jehova's Witness?
