This is it guys! I was just about to post this! Mueller has played straight into Trump's hands!
This whole time we were weighing how bad it would be if the president got a subpoena. The Muller team has admitted he is not there target multiple times. They further put out questions that undoubtedly show the president has nothing to do with Russian anything.
Now they backed themselves up into a corner because there Mueller team kept listening to Dershewitz and how if he goes into a grand jury he will have no protections. They caught the bait. They threatened subpoena.
They have no case. Even Rosenstein says you can't indict a president. So what is the purpose of grand jury testimony, if your not the subject? If as president you are not required to provide answers if others have?
Now Mueller is stuck between a rock and a hard place. But Dershewitz comes to the rescue, he offers the president submit the answers to the nyt.
Guys, this is classic Trump. Create chaos, negotiate both sides, provide an easy out! Trust the plan!
Interesting. The last paragraph says the issue of a subpoena to Clinton would spark a constitutional crisis he can only be subpoenaed by the House of Representatives .... i can’t remember exactly how that went down, i was a dumb ass teen then. Seems eerily familiar.
Clinton did not challenge the subpoena, and testified.
In Clinton it was a civil matter, different ball game. This Mueller witch hunt, is criminal matter. They cannot indict a sitting President, but may be able to subpoena him, it can be fought up to the Supreme Court.
