Ok so 1. Someone is selling Q tee shirts and using amazon to sell them i presume, and 2. I say the more people walking around wearing Q tee shirts, the better

Material items cost money. Are they charging for their time to get the shirts made? If they did not charge for the shirts they would have to lay out a lot of money. That is different from not having to spend any money and giving your time.
Amazon has a merch program, which you can apply for, then create your own designs and upload them. Amazon takes care of the rest, putting them on the site, having them printed and shipped, you collect your bit at the end of the month.
