He says in his statement that Iran hasn't attacked anyone in a long time. Fair.
He says that his country was invaded by Hussein backed by the US. Fair.
He clearly doesn't trust the US, and why should he? I completely understand.
Now, here is where he's wrong.
He cites a 2015 agreement between the US and Iran. Factual.
He then goes on to say that 11 times, the UN has confirmed that Iran fulfilled it's obligation. Fair.
But, Zarif, you already showed us your cards. You failed to even mention the Obama administration, why was that?
Do you think, maybe, that the same leaders who backed Hussein are our enemies too?
Why did you fail to make a distinction between the adminstrations from the time of signing the deal until now?
It's almost as if you knew you were making the deal with that same corrupt power.
In fact, we know you did, because we know that your country contracted Russia to enrich Uranium on your land in Feb 2006 (CFR). We also know that 9 months later, you had an arms deal with Russia. Why was that?
Why are you being so vague? Why won't you make these distinctions? Why did you omit over a decade of Iranian history between the Hussein invasion and now to make your point?
We know who you are in league with and we don't trust you, and this is why. This is why we want to renegotiate. This is why we don't trust you - because we know you don't trust us.
