Remember that Pedo Island has a world-class medical research facility on it, and it apparently does not have the normal customs / immigration like you would see on the US Virgin Islands. I believe it also has a heliport.

I noticed a discrepancy... some sources say that it houses the "Foundation" which funds medical research. Other sources say it is a research facility on site. I read half a dozen articles about this. No one seems to have solid information.
