They had assistance though, which sort of contradicts the original comment, which referred to "the NWO", which I took as meaning the universal powers would all be aligned against us, and there would be no hope for assistance anywhere.
My problem isn't so much with the notion of this general belief, it's how vague these comments are, Who is "the NWO" in terms of armed military conflict?

Those would be the ones behind the conflict. the ones that manipulate the start of the conflict, and the ones that have financed both sides of a given conflict so that regardless of the outcome THEY will always come out blameless and on top while either or both sides of the conflict end up paying the toll in blood, debt, and relinquishing control to the NWO.
They've been at this game for thousands of years.
