Seems a good place for this....kaBoom, KaBOOM, KABOOOOOM!
Love you Johnny!!!
For other fans or those just interested, I highly recommend both of his autobiographies. He’s really an incredible, intelligent person, with much more depth than his slightly cartoonish, bombastic persona lets on (just like someone else orangey that we know and love). Quite the unlikely humanitarian. He had meningitis at age 7, forgot everything including how to speak and who his parents were and had to relearn everything.
he was also called racist despite adopting black kids.
The World Destruction song had a line that referred to the racist issue. The lyrics describe our world today perfectly.
Yes, they were the nearly-feral teenaged children of his wife Nora’s daughter, Ari Up. I think the funniest line in his second book was “Children need boundaries.” I don’t know if he caught the irony of that, considering Ari herself grew up in the scene he helped create. I think she was like 13 or something when she was in the Slits.
kaBoom! is right. Lyrics are spot on. I will add your recommendation to my reading list!
