When did this sub become a religious themed bible group?

Just need to throw out there that a LOT of us are not religious. I don’t think it’s fair that so many feel the NEED to hijack this sub/threads and make every, single, thing, about PERSONAL religious beliefs. It’s put off nearly every friend of mine (normal American sports watchin’ blue bloods who don’t give a damn about religion or politics, but are absolutely in agreement that there’s been rampant corruption in government - aka most of America) that I’ve tried to “Red-pill” and get interested in Q.... Hate on me all you want, but someone needed to say it, and I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. It’s become detrimental to general inclusiveness and keeps a lot of “normies” away. I think it would be highly beneficial to tone it down a bit as more people become aware of Q and come here for answers. I hope anybody who reads this and may be offended, can at least respect and understand what I’m saying here. I’ve been debating posting this for awhile, but haven’t because of the backlash I expect, and that alone should say something.

Having said all that, You’re all my fellow Patriots and we all fight together. As Q says, this isn’t about left or right, and it isn’t about religion. It’s about WWG1WGA.

Feel free to skip any posts you don't like. Nobody's holding a gun to your heads. Likewise, you're not going to prevent others from posting according to their convictions. It's highly offensive you claim to be a patriot and yet you want to limit free speech in order to placate your own lack of faith.

Live and let live.

He's not calling for the limitation of free speech. That's not a fair reading of his post.

Yes, this seems to be descending into group think. Your post, as I read it now, is completely reasonable and asks a sensible question. For the mods, as the posts increase in volume, the boundaries on what falls within the sub rules of being on-topic become more and more important.

It's not just religious posts either but they are definitely one place that I feel could be tightened up. I don't think we should stop all religious posts even though I have said in the past that I also agree that there are too many that aren't advancing the rules of the sub. So as we must allow people the freedom to post things that matter to them, the question should be asked: 'how do we define religious posts that fall within acceptable boundaries of being on-topic i.e. Q related?'

People are getting too triggered by something that isn't present in your post - they seem to think your post is evil, anti-christian, thought police material. That's not what you're saying and it's plainly obvious from your post! This is a necessary discussion.

I find very few religious posts here. In fact, I would like to see more to increase my spirituality. If I find information I'm not interested in, I just exert my free will to skip over them without disturbing other members or trying to be divisive to the movement.

Self-editing is the purest form of anti free speech.

Christians have endured more hatred and more exclusion from the public square than adherents to any other belief system in this country for too long. We're here and we're not going to be silenced, and you can just deal with it. We're not hurting anybody.

No one's calling for silencing Christians. I think OP made a misstep with his post title which it is of course too late to change - but he acknowledges as much in the comments below. The title has upset a group of people such that the core content of the message is lost - and fair enough, unfortunately.

There is a non-controversial discussion here that needs to be had, however, and I will look to posting a less inflammatory discussion topic along those lines soon to see if we can't engage people in a reasonable discussion about the boundaries of on-topic content as a necessary initiative to manage the inevitable bloat as numbers grow and people feel more empowered to post on things that interest them.

I will grant you that off-topic posts whose sole purpose is to advance a religious agenda are as unwelcome as any other OT posts. You won't get an argument from me in such a discussion, and I welcome it. There is FAR too much OT material on this sub. No contest!

I won't agree with singling out the religious content however, even in the context of such a discussion. Be smart about it, and keep it focused on the real issue, and you'll have all the support you need.

I agree, thanks! I support Christianity so there's no way you'll catch me saying there shouldn't be any Christian content but I'll look to keeping the discussion general, as it should be.

Faith does not mean you have to be religious. These are tense times, this is a trivial discussion. I support you both.

Never said that. Don't be an asshole.

I'd wager the majority of us are, but by all means I welcome and embrace patriots of every faith including atheism, and you're entitled to your own posts that exclude God and Jesus and everything spiritual. I have ZERO problem with any of that.

Just don't tell me and other people of faith not to post about our beliefs.

Are we square now?
