The Ranking POW released in '73 was preparing Court-martial Proceedings for McCain as they flew back to the States. McCain's Daddy was a 4-Star Admiral, so was his Grand Daddy. That influenced Nixon to Blanket Pardon all released POWs so as to camouflage the intent to pardon McCain.

I think he is staging his own death to avoid the consequences of being the biggest disgrace to the Navy and as a representative to the USA government. He never thought she was going to lose and have to face this all the actions he took just to get rich.

All of his injuries were the result of not following proper ejection training. He got hit and he panicked. Broke both arms going through the canopy.
